I created LIFELINE because as a parent of an out-of-control teen who has had the privilege of being part of a lifesaving and life-changing program, I saw parents quietly drowning — reading every book, bouncing from therapist to therapist, program to program, yet still feeling lost and on the verge of hopelessness--and I wanted for them what I had experienced...personal breakthrough...marital restoration...new skills, new mindsets...a Plan...a new beginning as a family!
And that is what you will get here!

Russ is the proud husband of Heather for the past 28 years, and the father of Sam (27), Hannah (daughter-in-law, 27), Lily (25) and Simon (24)…grand-daughter, Lyla (almost 3), and brand new Jolie (1 month)!
Russ was the founding pastor of Oasis Church, in Bend, Oregon, a church plant in 2004. After pastoring, Russ went into sales, and was a salesman for the 6th largest Home Improvement company in the U.S.A.
He was also an Oregon State Wrestling Champion at 191 lbs., wrestled on scholarship in college, and has coached High School wrestling for 6 years. Much of his story and who he is flows out of this trifecta: church planting, sales and wrestling.
Russ has experienced BOTH the thrill of victory AND the agony of dark defeat, as a man, a husband, and as a father, and founded LIFELINE Coaching in 2018 to work with men who are struggling like he has, and has now shifted his focus to work with parents who are experiencing chaos and turmoil because of a prodigal teen.
He currently resides in Seattle, WA., between 2 amazing bodies of water: Lake Washington and the Puget Sound…and is constantly amazed at the glory of God’s Creation!
Questions parents often ask
If you’re wondering it, someone else almost certainly is too.
Will this work if my child is neurodivergent or has a diagnosis?
Many of our members parent neurodivergent children (ADHD, autism, anxiety, sensory processing differences, and more). Our approach is principle-based, relationship‑centered and adaptable. While we can’t replace individualized therapy, we do help you understand your child’s needs, advocate for them, and build tools that reduce shame and power struggles at home.
What if I can’t attend the live calls?
All calls are recorded and added to our private member library within 24–48 hours. You can pre‑submit questions if you can’t attend live, then watch the replay on your own time. Many parents participate entirely through replays and still see big shifts at home.
Is this therapy?
No. LIFELINE is a faith-based coaching and education community, not therapy, medical care, or a crisis service. We focus on practical parenting skills, emotional regulation tools, personal and spiritual growth, and compassionate support in real‑life situations. We gladly encourage therapy alongside this work when appropriate.
Can my co‑parent or partner join too?
Yes. In fact, we highly, highly recommend it! Parenting is largely about learning to be a united TEAM. One membership covers all primary caregivers in your household. You can share call links, resources, and the community space so you’re not doing this work alone.
How do I cancel if it’s not a fit?
You can cancel in just a few clicks from your account settings. There are no hidden fees or long‑term contracts. If you’re unsure whether to cancel or adjust how you’re using the membership, you’re always welcome to reach out to our team for support.
